A Little Summer Fun

My sister owns a Hawaiian Shave Ice business and she sets up stands at several fairs and events during the summer. We go to almost all the events and sometimes we get little perks while we're there. We went to a county fair a couple weekends ago and I'm just now getting around to proofing the pictures I took. Here are a few of my favorites...

There was a dog show and my sister got this hat for Aliyah...isn't it cute? :)


Right next to my sister's shaved ice stand were people with ducks. They had a duck show every night and they would call kids from the audience to race the ducks. You could also feed the ducks between shows. The ducks were Aliyah's favorite part of the whole night. She seriously fed the ducks for a good 30 minutes and we had to pull her away kicking and screaming. She got so excited when the ducks ate the food from her hand :).


My sister set it up with the guy so he would call on Aliyah to race a duck. Brandon took Aliyah to help her but he let go of their duck too late. Their duck is the 3rd one...the one in last place :( O well, Aliyah still had a blast! I got a picture of them holding their duck and getting ready to let it go but there are other people in it so I didn't want to post it.

The carousel is Aliyah's favorite!! She is obsessed with carousels. The mall closest to us has a carousel and she has to ride it every time we go. This was another thing we had to pull her away from kicking and screaming. It's so tough being 3 sometimes!

The dog show was really neat but we had bad seats so I didn't get any really good photos. It was a bit touching though b/c all their dogs are saved from animal shelters and to see what they do now was pretty cool. Those dogs jumped, danced, ran, caught frisbies, and obeyed every command. Although it was pretty hot, we had a good time overall. Aliyah slept good that night :).
