did not go so good. Kinsley did great and I am VERY proud of her. I did wake her up to eat at 6 but the little porker didn't finish until 6:45. Normally takes her around 20 minutes to eat. I guess she was a little more hungry this morning. We got called back on time (surprisingly). I was pretty happy about that. There were 2 young girls that did the ultrasound and I really don't think they knew what they were doing or what exactly they were looking for. Before they started, one girl asked me why we were there. I said "our doctor thinks she might have Pyloric Stenosis." She then asks me, what I think is the dumbest question ever, "has she been throwing up?" Um, YEAH, duh! Isn't that what Pyloric Stenosis is all about?! Throwing up constantly. I was nice and simply said "yes." She then asked a few more questions: Is it getting worse, how much, how often, is it projectile. I answered her questions and she got started. Poor Kinsley was on that table for 30 minutes. I'm sorry but it should not have taken that long. The girls changed the dopler thingie (don't know the correct term) 3 times and they kept talking amongst themselves, which drove me nuts b/c they weren't telling us anything. Once Kinsley started getting a little fussy, one of the girls asked me if she had a binky. I wanted to say "don't you think I would have given it to her by now?" but I said "nope, she won't take one. she spits it out." They ended up asking me if I would give her water in a bottle so they could see something move through her b/c they thought it would be easier to see what they were looking for. I did and Kinsley wasn't too sure of the water. Got some pretty funny faces.
They finally finished and both girls left the room, said they were taking the pictures to the radiologist. One came back about 5 minutes later and said that she wasn't sure if the radiologist would be able to tell anything or not b/c Kinsley was full of gas. Uh, ok? She said we would probably have to do a different test. Great, just great. Put the poor kid through yet another test, which will most likely be an Upper GI. Not looking forward to that one. We didn't hear anything from the doctor today so I will be calling in the morning to see about the ultrasound and to get the results from the blood test and urine culture.
I took my camera with me today but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to see the pictures. I'm on Brandon's laptop and it's not photography friendly so stay tuned =)
