A different kind of shot for me. Side profile of Miss K.

Aliyah was even so bored that she wanted her picture taken.

After I laid Kinsley down for a nap, I went to take a shower and when I was done, I found Aliyah sitting in Kinsley's toybox playing with her baby toys. She was really, really, really bored.

Later on I went to do something while Kinsley was still napping and Aliyah was entertaining herself. When I came back and went to sit on the couch, I found this these all lined up at the end of the couch. Aliyah lines toys up like this quite often and I secretly love finding her lines of whatever....cars, people, blocks, etc. So, since I was so bored today I took a picture of it so I can show her how she did this when she gets older ;)

Brandon's mom bought the girls these adorable matching dresses and I was determined to get a picture of them wearing them. I got several but none are portrait-worthy. Kinsley is too stinkin' fast and wants absolutely nothing to do with sitting or standing still for more than a split second.

I managed to get this one finally after many, many attempts.

Yeah, she's walking. I haven't mentioned it on here b/c I have a video I wanted to post when I announced it on here but the only computer that I can upload the video camera to has been out-of-service. She started walking 2 days before her birthday and there is NO stopping her now!!
We attempted another picture when we went to visit Brandon's parents. Not any better but it's still somewhat cute. At least you can see their dresses. Kinsley is eating Cheerios. We had to give her food just so she would stay sitting.

Our town rescheduled the fireworks for tonight (or last night b/c it's actually after midnight as I type this). Aliyah couldn't wait to watch the fireworks. Kinsley did great and kept pointing to them and squinting her eyes b/c they were so bright. I don't have any pictures from the fireworks b/c my camera is broke. I'm VERY sad about it. I took it with me but it has been acting up for a couple of weeks now and I've just been putting it off b/c getting it fixed is going to mean mailing it to Canon and being without it for several weeks probably. It just absolutely refused to take a picture tonight. I guess I'll be calling Canon tomorrow (or today).
Oh, and one more thing. I can't believe I almost forgot to add this story. I went out to the lake early with my brother and my brother's gf. Brandon met us out there later. We were driving back into town and Brandon was in front of us. We were going up a little hill, right as you get into town when he slowed down until he eventually stopped...right in the middle of the road. I turned my flashers on so the people behind me would go around. And there was a llloooooonnngg line of cars b/c everyone was at the lake watching the fireworks. Brandon walks back to the van and tells my brother that he ran out of gas. I must tell a little background on the whole gas thing. Brandon likes to run on fumes....literally. He likes to see how far he can drive on E. IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!! We've argued about this SOOOO many times. He never listens, although I tell him that if we are on E and we have an emergency and have to get to the ER quickly and we run out of gas, that would NOT be good. We have 2 kids, you never know when something could happen. He still doesn't listen. So tonight, it finally happened. He ran out of gas. Luckily my brother was with me. He so kindly stayed with our car while I took Brandon home to get a gas can and then to the gas station to get gas. 5 people stopped to ask my brother if he needed help while we were getting the gas. I couldn't imagine standing there having to tell everyone that "nope, all is good, my brother-in-law just ran out of gas." When we got back to the car, a cop had stopped and turned his lights on so it looked like my brother had gotten pulled over. My brother is way nicer than me b/c I would have made Brandon sit there with his car. Anyway - Brandon put the gas in the car and the poor thing was so empty that it took several minutes of him pumping the gas pedal for it to start. It did and everyone made it home but I gaurantee that Brandon won't live this down for quite a while...
