2 weeks

Emersyn is 2 weeks already. Why does the time seem to fly by after they finally arrive here, yet it just creeps by that last month of pregnancy? I wish there was some magical answer to that question but I know there isn't.

Emersyn went to the dr today for a weight check. She was 8 lbs 15 oz at birth. She left the hospital 2 days later weighing 8 lbs 8 oz. 2 days after we left the hospital (that Friday) she weighed 8 lbs 5 oz. My dr likes to make us come in every few days for a weight check until the baby starts to gain weight. Just to be sure she is getting enough to eat. We went last Monday for a weight check and she had started gaining finally, and she was back up to 8 lbs 8 oz, which meant she gained 3 oz in 3 days. Woohoo! The dr was hoping she was back to her birth weight today. Well, she passed her birth weight weighing in at 9 lbs 5 oz!! She gained ONE pound in ONE week...almost 2 oz a DAY!! Looks like she's going to plump up pretty quick, just like her sisters did. I was thinking she would be our first small baby but maybe not.

I have more pictures to share but you'll just have to wait. It just takes too much time to get them uploaded to the computer, proofed, and loaded to blogger and I'm too lazy right now. I need some sleep! Here's how bad I need sleep: I posted on Facebook after we got back from the dr about Emersyn's weight gain...except instead of typing Emersyn, I typed Kinsley and didn't even catch it until everyone else did. Everyone asked if I'm sleep deprived. Nope, not at all... I'm glad I have that excuse but man, do I ever feel slightly stupid.
