just an update

I have had several people ask me why I haven't blogged for the past week. To tell the honest truth, after the whole false labor escapade, I've been a bit depressed. I hesitate to use the word depressed, but I will. I just really want to go into labor on my own. However, it's not likely that that will happen. Before 39 weeks anyway, and it's just too risky for me to go past 39 weeks, since I have ginormous babies. In an attempt to keep my mind off going into labor on my own again, I have been keeping myself as busy as possible. All baby furniture, clothes, toys, etc are washed, folded, put back together, organized and ready to go. I have rearranged and deep cleaned Brandon and I's bedroom, cleaned and scrubbed the refrigerator and the bathroom. Cleaned the entire house. Reorganized cabinets in the kitchen. Made sure Brandon cleaned the van and strapped in the baby's car seat. Aliyah now sits in the back and she thinks she is just the greatest thing ever ;). There are only a few other things I would like to get done. All of that and none of it jump-started labor...

I had an ultrasound yesterday to check the baby's weight and according to that, she now weighs 8 lbs 3 oz and she is reallllllly long. Oh, and she apparently has a LOT of hair. Not sure if I mentioned that last time we had an ultrasound but the sonographer pointed that out again. Then I had a Dr's appt this morning. He checked me and I am now 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced. I go back for a final checkup on Friday. If nothing happens before Monday, I will be induced on Monday. He would not budge the induction before 39 weeks. Lets hope and pray that baby girl does not gain very much weight at all before Monday. I, on the other hand, have managed to loose 2 pounds in the last week. Not sure how, since I hate to say how many Caramel Delight cookies I've eaten...but we won't tell Doc that ;-).

I have pictures to share, I just need to get them uploaded. Hopefully I will get to that later today.
