Dancing Girls

My brother and his family are in town visiting. They stay at my Granny's so she thought it would be nice for everyone to come over for dinner today while they are here. They live about 2 hours away so we don't get to see them very much. I have a 5-year-old nephew, Logan and a 3-year-old niece, Jadyn. Aliyah loves playing with them. Usually there are one or two fights among them at some point during our visit. Today was a different story. The girls were inseparable. They played so well together and had to sit next to each other during supper. After supper, everyone was sitting in the living room visiting and all of a sudden the girls got up and started dancing. It was SOOO cute!! Poor Logan tried to join in on the fun but he was being a little rough as he kept making the girls fall over. The girls just kept on dancing.

My Granny's living room is quite small so getting good pictures was difficult. I wanted to capture the moment more than anything. Therefore my crops and focus are terrible. These are mostly snapshots.

Oh...the ouchie above Jadyn's lip is from her falling and crashing on concrete. Poor girl!

Justin, Nichole, Logan, and Jadyn - we had a great time seeing you all today and we can't wait to visit again! Be careful driving home tomorrow!

In other news - the baby's room is almost completely done. I got the border done yesterday and I've been working on making my own mobile since I can't find one I like that matches the crib set. It's a little harder than I thought it was going to be but it's slowly getting done. We'll see if I succeed or just break down and buy a new one. I am really loving the baby's room!! I promise I will share some pics this week!

I did too much this morning and paid for it this afternoon. I woke up and couldn't stand our living room any longer. Since I babysit, my living room literally looks like a toy store. There are toys everywhere!! I felt cramped and I hate clutter-filled rooms so I decided to reorganize the toys, clean them, and rearrange them. I even put some away. I decided that I have so much that I could rotate them. I also vacuumed the whole house. I just can't seem to sit around lately and I actually hate myself for it. I should be resting and taking it easy - doctor's orders- but I just can't. After I finished, I had the same pains that i've been having. I'm really going to try to take it easy tomorrow and not do much....I promise!
