More of the recital costume

Aliyah had pictures taken for her tumbling recital this morning. The actual recital isn't until the end of May, but they had pictures taken today. We had to be up early to get her hair done. I was afraid of how she would do getting her hair done b/c I've never even attempted to curl her hair with a curling iron. However, she did great and she LOVED the result. She is all about being a little princess and boy did she think she was something else today with her hair all done and her costume on! She would NOT take the costume off all day. We went a couple different places today and wherever she went, she got everyone's attention!! I can't count the number of people who stopped to tell her how adorable she looked and she was lovin' every minute of it!

Of course I attempted to get some pictures of her today but she wanted NOTHING to do with my camera being in her face today. She even told me to "stop doing that, Mom!" and "you're not taking my picture!" I tried several different times throughout the day to get pictures but I never succeeded. This is what I ended up with. Hopefully you can see the cute costume and her hair all done.

Caught one of her while she was playing Hungry Hippos with Grandma.

This is her practicing her cartwheels.

I chopped off quite a bit in this one but I'm not good at capturing her in that much motion.

I can't wait until the actual recital!!

OMG, she DOES look adorable with her hair done up and in her outfit! This is one of those times you need a REALLY long zoom lens so you can sit in the other room and take "sniper shots" (as my ds calls them, lol). :)
