The Apple Orchard

Aliyah's preschool class visited the Apple Orchard yesterday. Aliyah was SO excited to go to the Apple Orchard. She was counting down the days from the moment she heard they were going. Parents, grandparents, siblings, etc were allowed to go so I got to go with her. They got a quick little tour of the place and a simple explanation of what happens at an apple orchard and how they make apple cider. Then each child got their own little bag to fill with apples. All the little kiddos had a blast.

The guy in the hat was the tour guide person. He's explaining a little bit about how the apples grow.

Then they were off to pick their apples. I was following behind with the other parents when I looked ahead and saw this. =) Aliyah thinks this is her "boyfriend"....LOL. Daddy is less-than-thrilled with that idea ;)

Doesn't she look SO proud of that apple?

They even had some baby goats but the poor little goats were scared of all the kids. They wouldn't even come near the fence. And if a kid stated walking around the fence to the other side, the goats would take off running for cover in their little house. Poor goats...lol.

Next week, the kids are going to make applesauce with some of the apples that they picked. Aliyah is, of course, really excited about that now.

What a fun day! That shot of her with her "boyfriend" is adorable... if your dh is anything like mine, he would have her locked up till she is 30 if he has his way! LOL!

The boyfriend one is a hoot! I stopped by an apple orchard yesterday and saw a preschool group there. Made me miss the days when I was going on those field trips with my own kiddos.
