first boo-boo

Kinsley got her first major boo-boo tonight. We went for a walk and the girls were riding in the wagon. After awhile, Kinsley got tired of sitting and started standing up in the wagon. I was trying to keep an eye on her while still walking and I told Aliyah to help me watch her, which she's usually pretty good about doing so. You probably already know where this is headed but I was crossing a street and Kinsley fell right out of the wagon and was lying in the road. I didn't see her fall out but obviously she fell out face-first. Her poor little nose got scratched and she has a nice bruise on her forehead =(

Thankfully, it doesn't look as bad in that photo as it does in person.

Being the sweet big sister that she is, Aliyah went inside when we got back to get Kinsley a bandaid. (Aliyah is obsessed with bandaids. She thinks she needs them for any abnormal spot on her.) Here she is trying to put it on Kinsley's nose. Sorry this picture is completely out of focus and dark but I still had to share. It's funny...to me at least ;)


After many many attempts, Ailyah finally got it on her nose but it didn't stay there very long, maybe a nano-second.


Thankfully she didn't get hurt any worse than she did. It could have been much worse.

We had another "first" in our house today. Brandon got Kinsley up from her afternoon nap. She only had a diaper and a shirt on when she went to sleep. Brandon was holding her when he realized that she didn't have a diaper on!! He had picked her up without even realizing that she was half nude! He went to look for the diaper and sure enough, it was in her crib. She had taken her diaper off for the first time today. I can't tell you how excited I was that she had only peed in that diaper. Can you imagine?! YUCK!! Needless to say, she won't be going down for a nap anymore without pants on.
