I'm happy to report that the new laptop is working great....love it! And I got the right harddrive back after an entire day of waiting but I've complained enough on here lately to last me the rest of the year....ok, maybe not. Most importantly, my FIL was awesome and managed to get all my data off the old harddrive and it's all on the new laptop. Thanks Rex!! I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw all my files =). I've started to weed through everything and get it all organized but I've got a long way to go before I'll be all caught up.
