on the eve of the big day

We went to church earlier this evening and then rushed back home to get the girls to bed so Brandon and I can play Santa and Mrs. Clause ;). The girls are tucked away in their beds and Brandon is off to retrieve their big gift from his parents house. I'm doing a quick blog post and then I have to finish wrapping a couple things and get everything set up. Then, if I can keep my eyes open long enough, Brandon and I are going to watch us some Griswold's =) I love Christmas Eve!

Before tucking them away for the night, I plopped them in front of the tree for a quick snapshot. Hopefully I will get some better ones in the morn.


We put Kinsley to bed b/c she could have been mistaken for the Grinch. Aliyah set to work writing Santa a letter to put with his cookies and milk. It's kind of weird for me b/c this is the first year we have done the whole cookies, milk, and a letter for Santa business. Up until this year, Aliyah was absolutely terrified (have I mentioned that yet? ;) of the big 'ole jolly man so we didn't even play the whole Santa bit. All of a sudden, this year, she's all into him.


A funny note: Aliyah always eats the middle of the Oreo and leaves the 2 cookie parts behind. Brandon mentioned after Aliyah was in bed that we should eat the middle of the Oreo and leave the cookie parts on the plate...LOL! I think we just might do that!


Here she is throwing out her magic reindeer food that she made at school. The girl asked allllll day long when she could put the reindeer food out and it didn't matter that we told her "tonight, right before you go to bed" each time she asked b/c she asked again anyway.
