Santa's Magical Kingdom

Our girls LOVE looking at Christmas lights. We have been to a light show every weekend in December. When Kinsley sees lights she says, "Oh woooooww! lights!" We usually go to a huge light show every year but last year we didn't make it there so this year, we wanted to make sure we went. We already knew Aliyah loved it and we were sure Kinsley was going to love it. It's an hour-and-a-half drive to the light show but we made the 2 1/2 hour drive to visit my dad yesterday so we stopped at the light show on the way home. It was a LOT of driving and a LOT of time the girls had to spend in their car seats yesterday but it was worth it. We slept in this morning and didn't go to church b/c Kinsley and I are battling colds with wicked coughs.

We were surprised when we got to the light show that there was a loooooonnnng line of cars waiting to get in. We waited in line for about 30-45 minutes....I didn't keep track. The girls did really well considering how long they had been in their car seats already.


Kinsley helped pass the time by chewing on a plastic bowl ;). And playing with her feet =)

We were so bored, we decided to see if we could get a picture together and this was the first try! Focus was off but hey, I'll take it =) Just the 2 of us in a photo doesn't happen very often.

I took several more photos but with 2 kids on my lap, it was hard not to get the back of one of their heads.

I didn't get any pictures while visiting my Dad. I spend most of my time getting Kinsley out of stuff and keeping her occupied. We had our Christmas with my Dad and the girls ripped into their presents in record time. It's going to be interesting on Christmas morning now that Kinsley knows what to do! Here's their loot just from my Dad's. I told him not very many toys so they got lots of clothes, shoes, and 2 toys each.
