She only had a half-day today but I was able to go and help out for a little while. I took tons of pictures so we would have the memories of this special day. However, there are other students in most of them and I don't want to post other kids without permission so here is Aliyah with her teacher and classroom aide.

Sadly, I didn't get a picture of her with them on the first day of school. That will be my goal from now on. Get a picture with her teacher the first day of school and the last day each year...at least for elementary school.
Shortly after Aliyah left for school, Miss Kinsley declared that she had to poop. She has been talking about "peepee on the potty" for a long time now. We've tried to sit her on the potty every now and then but her craziness doesn't allow her to sit long enough to do anything so I haven't pushed it. But now she's telling us when she's pooping so I think it's time to take action. I immediately took her to the bathroom...although she had already done her number in her diaper. I just really want her to get the idea that she goes to the bathroom to go poo. After I cleaned her up, I made her sit on the potty chair for a few minutes. I went in the other room to get her a new diaper and by the time I went back to the bathroom, she had peed in the potty!! I was SOOO excited, I did the potty dance, clapped and cheered for probably 15 minutes...no kidding. I wish I had the video camera on her b/c her expression to my celebration was priceless. She wasn't sure if she should celebrate with me or run and hide b/c Mommy had gone crazy...LOL! I did take her picture sitting on the potty but I'm not going to post it here. She got M&M's for breakfast for her accomplishment and I think that pretty much made her day. Of course, then she started demanding "num nums" (her name for M&M's) the rest of the day.
And just b/c we can't leave Miss Emmy out, here's one of her sporting a new onesie that my sister got her. I would have to agree with her ;-)

Oh, while we're talking about milestones...I think that one is teething already! She hasn't been sleeping very well, she's been a bit fussy, drooling like crazy, and you can see 2 tiny white bumps on her bottom gums. It may take a while for those to poke through. If she is indeed teething, she's would be my earliest teether. Aliyah got her first tooth at 4 months while Kinsley didn't get first pearly white until 8 months! Funny how they are all so different. =)
