and she's off!

It's official. Kinsley is mobile. After I posted about a week ago that she had started crawling, she decided that she didn't really want to start crawling just yet. She thought she would roll everywhere for one more week. But yesterday afternoon she got up on all 4's and put one hand in front of the other and then one knee in front of the other and the look on her face was priceless. I wish I had had my camera in my hand at that moment, but I didn't. I tried all evening yesterday to get her on video but all she would do when I had the video camera out was whine at me to pick her up. When Brandon came home today for lunch, I knew I could get her to crawl to his sunglasses. She is obsessed with his sunglasses for some reason.



Although I got the video, I also had to take some pictures =)

I can't believe she is growing up so fast! Just in the last couple of weeks she has learned to say Dada (she said Mama a long time ago but now its Dada all the time), has mastered the pincer grasp to pick up Cheerios or puffs, and is now crawling everywhere. Oh, and I figured out today why she has been so crabby. We were playing earlier today and I had her hanging upside down when I looked in her mouth and found TWO new teeth peekin through on the top of her mouth. Her poor gums are SO swollen. I told Brandon and he says "I told you she was probably teething." He did say that but I just kind of blew him off. Oops. Bad Mommy. At least she isn't running a fever or having diarrhea or any other crazy teething symptom. I'll take the crabbiness. She was back to her chipper self today though. I was glad to have my happy baby back.
