standing

Kinsley figured out a new trick today. She can pull herself up to things to stand. I'm actually surprised that she is doing this already. Aliyah didn't walk until she was 15 months old and didn't crawl until she was 9 months. She was really chubby but Kinsley is even chubbier than Aliyah was. So I expected Kinsley to be even slower at moving since she is carrying more weight around but she is proving me wrong. She started crawling a month earlier than Aliyah and is now pulling herself up 2 months earlier than Aliyah did. Funny how you compare kids when you have more than one.

Kinsley kept pulling herself up on this toy so the next time I caught her by it, I grabbed the camera. She was on her knees, all ready to stand up and then she just sat there. I asked her what she was waiting for and she looked at me with this face...

Once she was finished with that, she went right back to focusing on the task at hand...standing.


Success! And I got it on camera. Maybe tomorrow, I will get it on video.

Just in case you missed those thunder thighs in all the previous pictures, I focused in on them. I couldn't resist them. You know it's very difficult to put a pair of jeans over those things and that's why you never see Miss Kinsley in jeans. She wouldn't be able to sit and breathe.
