Aliyah's Big Girl Bed

Finally got some pictures of Aliyah's new bed and dresser today. As soon as she saw that I was going to take pictures, she hopped on her bed and wanted to be in the picture. I was going to just take the pictures and not even worry about her being in them b/c she usually doesn't want anything to do with the camera. Surprisingly today was a different story and I'm thrilled. I might just have to try and stick the camera back in her face again today to see what else I can get ;)

O yeah, her baby had to be in the picture too :)






Once I got the pictures I wanted, she laid on her bed and said "Mommy, take more pictures!" Did someone steal my kid today?!




As you can see, we bought her a platform bed with a cool bookshelf headboard and a nice little dresser to match. I just love her bed! We had to make a quick trip to Wal-Mart to buy her some sheets b/c we didn't have any, even just to use while we got something else. I looked at Target and several other places for comforter sets or quilts and I couldn't find anything that I liked. She ended up picking this comforter out at Wal-Mart and I figured that we would just use it for now until we got something cuter but I really like how this one looks with her purple walls so I think we are going to keep it. We still need to buy her a new lamp and I need to make or buy some curtains and then I want to paint some of the squares on some canvases to hang on the wall. That will all get done soon, hopefully.
