Don't really have a title today...

Several people commented on how cute Aliyah's birthday dress is so I thought I would share where I got it from and how much it cost. Believe it or not, that dress is a Wal-Mart special. I think I paid $15.88 for it. We just happen to be at Wal-Mart one day doing some shopping and I happen to stop and look at the dresses and I found that one. I don't think I've mentioned this yet on here but Aliyah is in a stage right now (at least I hope it's a stage) where she absolutely refuses to wear anything but a dress! It is a HUGE fight to try and get her to wear pants so we have given up for now. She has an entire drawer full of jeans and cute little pants that have just sat there for the last couple of months. She did get a lot of cute little dresses for her birthday, which I was really glad b/c I get tired of her wearing the same ones over and over. This stage has already lasted well over a month now and it doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. It wouldn't be so bad if the weather wasn't so stinkin cold. We've invested in several pairs of the really thick cotton tights to keep her little legs warm. Needless to say, she was absolutely thrilled with her birthday dress and she wants to wear it everyday :) Thanks so much for all the great comments on her dress and her birthday pictures!

I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures of Aliyah's new bed. I'm hoping to do that tomorrow. I did get around to proofing a session I did with one of the little guys that I babysit for. He is usually a pretty happy baby and full of smiles but of course this last Saturday, he didn't have any smiles to share with us. The few that we did get, we really had to work for. I'm not done proofing the session but this was one of my faves so far. I coudn't decide between color or b/w...what do you think?

I really hate that I cut the bottom of his feet off in this one. He kept trying to stare at his feet so once I got him looking up, I just started snapping away and wasn't paying enough attention.

This is adorable! I think this is a winner even with feet slightly cropped! Such an adorable moment and what a cute baby, and cute parents!

I don't think I'd have noticed the cropped feet unless you pointed it out, but then again cropping limbs is one of my people photo problems--I just don't notice it when I'm taking the photo.

And I think most little girls go through the stage of insisting on only dresses. My DD did at the same age. I considered myself lucky, because one of my friend's little girls would only wear dresses that she could twirl in!

Aw, how cute. I like this shot. I think the color version is better than the b&w though, it just jumps out at me more.

Walmart never ceases to surprise me! :) It was quite the cute dress...

Yeah you might have cut off some of his feet...but no big deal b/c the expression on his face is too cute for words! :) Once you know the rules...it's ok to break them!
