Happy Birthday Brandon...I love you!!!

Today was Brandon's birthday. Aliyah and I baked him a chocolate cake this morning. Then we went and bought some balloons and took them and the cake to his work. After he got off work, his parents took us out to eat to celebrate. Then we went back to their house for cake and ice cream. Aliyah just loves birthdays...doesn't really matter who's birthday it is, as long as she can be in on the action :-)

She decided she wanted to help put Daddy's candles on his cake.


And she just kept putting them on. Although Daddy only turned 27 today, he ended up with 36 candles on his cake :)


Grandma attempted to light every. single. one. of. them....and she succeeded!!!


The beautifully lit cake before all those candles got blown out.


And of course Aliyah had to help Daddy blow all those candles out. We all know a 27-year-old doesn't have that much air to blow out 36 candles ;) I just love how the glow of the candles is reflecting off of Aliyah's face.


Finally, after such a long day celebrating turning 27, the Birthday Boy gets to relax and read the newspaper.

Also, on a side note...Brandon's Grandpa is having his gall bladder taken out tomorrow. He has been in the hospital for several days now from complications so if everyone would just keep him in your thoughts and prayers for the next couple of days that everything goes smoothly during the procedure and that he will get to come home soon, we would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
