another sick girl, fun mail, and my birthday

There's another sick girl in our house.  She was so good this morning, she only climbed on the cabinet once which is totally unlike her normal a thousand times between breakfast and lunch.  She laid on the couch a lot watching Dora, Umi Zoomi, and Bubble Guppies.  I just assumed she was tired.  Then it came.  That darn fever.  I am seriously soooo ready for warmer weather.  My girls are rarely ever sick and someone has been sick since the beginning of January :(
Can't believe I managed to squeak that teeny tiny little smile out of her.  This one is more like it...
Aliyah got some mail today from Aunt Cindy which she was pretty excited about, especially the pretty writing on the front :).
Enclosed was a letter asking her about Justin Bieber (notice the smile while she is reading the letter...lol) and a pretty drawing of her name.  Don't worry Cindy, she looked up the answers to your questions on the internet and she's working on a return letter =).
Monday was my birthday.  We didn't do much since Emmy was sick and it was a Monday, which is officially the worse day of the week to have a birthday, I've decided.  It was a pretty good day despite the fact I spent the entire morning at the dr's office and hospital with Emmy.  They sent us to the hospital for Emmy to get blood taken (which showed elevated white blood cell count which = infection, a urine test (after 4 attempts and still no pee, I gave up on this test), and a chest x-ray (clear).  We did manage to go to McDonald's for supper and then Brandon stopped at Dairy Queen to get me an ice cream cake in a sundae cup.  He was going to buy a whole cake but I wouldn't let him b/c he doesn't eat ice cream cake which means I would eat the whole thing and that isn't good for my hips!  Here's an attempt to get a picture of me and the girls.  Kinsley looks stoned, Emmy was not happy, and Aliyah didn't want in the picture.
We didn't have any birthday candles so we got creative ;-)
I've got more to catch up on from this past weekend.  Brandon and I had an awesome time celebrating his 30th birthday :)

I love my family. I spent some hard time here at work writing Aliyah's letter and coloring her picture...it was a coping skill for me :) I am so excited for her birthday!!!
