We are literally stuck at home. Brandon thought he was going to be cool tonight and go for a drive to see how bad the roads are. Well.....he didn't even leave our driveway. So I guess that answers his question...lol. I know I won't be attempting to go anywhere for a few days. This is what we woke up to this morning. These are the power lines in front of our house.
I tried to keep the girls as busy as I could today. We painted and colored this morning.
Someone thought her face and hands were good places to color...
After that, I made a fort for the girls to play in. Aliyah loved it but Kinsley just wanted to climb on top of it. Only Kinsley would try to climb on a bunch of blankets. She soon realized that it was not a sturdy surface.
Brandon's work ended up closing early at 2:00, which meant he got to come home early. I think our whole town is shut down. I've heard only 2 gas stations are open. This has never happened that I can remember. I just want to know where all the snow is b/c we've only seen ice all day long. After he got home, I went outside to get some pictures of the ice.
I totally wish I had a macro lens. These pictures would be so much better!
That's a heckuva lot of ice!! Surprisingly we haven't lost too many branches and lets hope it stays that way!
