today's randomness

When I realized I had yet to pick my camera up today, I just started taking pictures of whatever the girls were doing.  Kinsley was still napping at this time so I didn't get any pictures of her today.  Nothing too exciting happened today, which I guess is a good thing. 

She says this means peace.  I think it looks more like a gang sign...

 Aliyah and I both go through phases of wanting to cut her hair.  Last year Aliyah wanted to cut her hair very badly but I wouldn't let her b/c we had 2 weddings towards the end of 2010, my brother's and my sister's and Aliyah was in both weddings.  I told her if she still wanted to cut it after the weddings that she could.  Well the weddings came and went and when it came down to it, she didn't want to cut her hair after all.  Then about a month ago, she told me she wanted to cut her hair and donate it to kids that don't have any hair (Locks of Love).  I was hesitant once again about cutting her hair but I didn't let her know that and I told her how awesome it would be if she did that but I wanted her to be absolutely sure that she wanted it cut.  We hadn't talked about it again until just a couple days ago.  I asked her about cutting her hair b/c I think now would be a good time with summer coming up.  Wouldn't you know, now she doesn't want it cut.  Then she came home from school today declaring yet once again that she wants to cut her hair and donate it. 

 She has never had anything other than very small trims to the ends of her hair.  That is almost SEVEN years worth of hair right there.  I think I will cry if/when she actually gets it chopped!!

 This was all her idea but I got some pretty sweet bokeh there! ;)

Miss Emmy learned quite a while ago how to open my phone.  It's crazy how fast babies catch on to things. 

Notice the picture on the front of my phone?  I should post that one, it's too cute!

In other news, Aliyah is having her very first sleepover birthday party tomorrow night.  I'm nervous.  Thank God for Aunt Cindy who is coming to help save my sanity tomorrow night!!!  I'm sure I will have some interesting stories/pictures to share tomorrow night :)
