I've been busy doing some spring cleaning this week, which means I'm exhausted even more than usual by the time the girls go to bed. I even went to bed before 11pm last night...something I never do. But I was tired! Anyway, that's my excuse for not blogging the last 5 days ;-).
I didn't end up sitting on my butt this last weekend like I was hoping to. Brandon decided he wanted to go shopping Saturday so we drove an hour to go do some shopping.
Emmy all ready to go =)
She was not a fan of the shoes...lol.
Always gotta have lots of snacks for the road =)
And this is what we ended up driving into!! Freaking SNOW in MARCH!! UNREAL!
Sunday, we got up and went to church, as usual. On Sunday, Aliyah was the sweet little girl that I've been missing. She helped me around the house, we played with clay and zoobles...
...and she even washed dishes! This was the first time she had really washed the dishes. She wanted to so I thought "what the heck" and I let her. I watched her closely to make sure she was washing them good and rinsing them and she did a mighty fine job! I was proud of her on Sunday. She wasn't 100% perfect but what kid is, right?
Sadly, her good behavior on Sunday didn't last long. She's had a couple of major meltdowns this week. But we finally got to the bottom of all her problems when she let it all out that a little girl in her class has been bullying her. Mentally bullying her. I hate public schools, downright hate them. If it were up to me, she wouldn't be there. Most of all I can't stand kids that bully other kids. Especially this particular little girl b/c I know her. I'm not going to go into details about her or the situation on here b/c this is a public blog and I don't know who all is reading. I'm just glad that we figured out what was causing Aliyah's erractic behavior. Brandon and I went to school yesterday and met with the assistant principal to discuss the issue and I made Aliyah's teacher move Aliyah as far away from the student as possible. If it weren't so late in the year, I would have requested that Aliyah be moved to a different classroom but with only 2 months left of school, I don't want to cause her any more chaos. So, we're praying that the issue stops and that Aliyah's behavior here at home improves.
