Today and yesterday weren't really that bad. It's just been a fun (yeah right!) couple of days. Yesterday afternoon while I was doing dishes, I noticed that I ran out of hot water...before I had even showered yet because I was busy cleaning house and doing laundry. I had planned to take a shower after I cleaned up the kitchen after lunch. When I noticed I ran out of hot water, I thought "great! now I'm gonna have to wait even longer to take a shower." I had somewhere to be at 3:30 so I knew I had to get a shower soon. I waited 1 hour and then checked for hot water. None. It was still freezing cold. I called my mom and went to her house to take a shower and prayed that we would have hot water when I got back home last night. Nope. None. Still freezing. You know what that means. Need a new hot water heater....sucks!! I asked Brandon what he was going to do about taking a shower before work this morning. His reply? "I'll just take a cold shower. I've done it before." "Uh honey, that water is freezing!! Not cold but freezing!" He simply says "Oh well, I'll live." So I didn't worry about it anymore.
I wake up about 7:05 this morning to Brandon moaning and screaming in the shower. I couldn't help it....I started laughing ;) It was too funny! I tried to tell him the water would be freezing but he didn't listen. Do guys ever listen to their wives?
I had a doctors appointment this morning so I had to get up and get Aliyah ready and then pack some clothes for me so I could go to my mom's to take another shower. It's not fun going to someone else's house just to take a shower. However, I am very thankful that I had somewhere to go to take a warm shower. The whole shower ordeal wasn't that bad...just very inconvenient.
I got to my doctors appointment just fine (thank God) and I gained 4 lbs in the last 2 weeks. I'm 26 weeks and I've gained a total of 12 lbs. Not too bad. Doc was finally satisfied with my weight gain. I had to do the diabetes test today. After I chugged down all that nasty sweet stuff, baby girl went nuts!! The nurse had to try 3 different places on my tummy just to get heart tones b/c she was moving so much...lol. I go back to the doctor in 4 weeks and then I will start going every 2 weeks. I also scheduled a 3D/4D ultrasound for my next visit. I'm pretty excited about that!
Got back home and waited until Brandon got off work to go buy a hot water heater. We were in and out of the store in less than 15 minutes with a new hot water heater...that was on sale!! Yea!! Then we decide to go eat. We get to the restaurant and go in. I was driving and for some reason threw my keys in my purse but decided that I didn't need to take it in. Why I thought that, I have no idea. We order our food and we're waiting for it when Brandon asks me if I have keys. Nope. He didn't either. Oops! Well, we'll just call the police. Neither one of us had our cells phones. They were both in the van. Oops again. We ate our food and then Brandon went to ask to use the phone to call the police. Come to find out, the police don't unlock vehicles anymore. We had to call a locksmith. Luckily the guy got there pretty fast and we waited inside instead of standing in the cold. $55 later, our van was unlocked. Well that sucked! Oh well, could have been worse, right? Luckily Aliyah wasn't with us.
After that, we decided to come home. Not a horrible last couple of days, just very eventful.
