2 Weeks Already

Miss Kinsley will be 2 weeks old officially at 10:52 pm tonight :( I can't believe it! They just grow up way too fast...sniff, sniff. She went to the doctor today for a weight check. She was born at 8lbs 8oz and she weighed 8lbs 1oz when we left the hospital. That Saturday she had a weight check at the dr and she was down another ounce to 8lbs. We had to go back last Tuesday and she weighed 8lbs 3oz, which was good. Of course, they wanted to monitor her weight until she reached birth weight. I think they worry more about weight gain with breastfed babies but I could be wrong about that. I'm happy to report that she weighed 8lbs 14oz today! That's right, she gained 11oz in 1 week!! What a little porker! Daddy wanted to give her a bottle last night (he says so he could bond with her...lol) so we put 4oz of breastmilk in a bottle thinking that would be plenty. We were wrong. She at ALL 4oz and still nursed afterwards! I didn't know a 2-week-old could eat that much! Oh, the dr also pulled her cord stump off since it was only hanging there by a tiny bit so we are cord free...yay! She doesn't have to go back to the dr until she is 1 month.

This is what she was doing the exact minute she turned 1 week.


Miss Kinsley sure has stolen her Daddy's heart. He loves having another girl. Not sure he would admit that but he does...he told me ;) 13 days old.

Took these today. I saw this chair at Target and I had to have it for the girls. Took me 3 trips to Target to convince Brandon I needed it. Really, I did...for pictures :)

And lastly, a few things we've learned about Miss Kinsley in just 2 short weeks:
1. She would MUCH rather sleep on her tummy but we won't let her...unless it's on Daddy's chest.
2. So far, she HATES bathtime. I'm hoping that changes.
3. As mentioned above, she is an eater and a great little nurser. She nursed at only 1 hour old and never had a problem latching on.
4. The only time she cries is when she's hungry...that's it. Oh, and getting a bath.
5. She only wakes up once or twice in the middle of the night.
6. She likes to pee and poop when you change her...and it goes EVERYWHERE!! Yesterday, I went through FOUR diapers before I finally got a clean one on her. And that was all at one diaper change!
7. She does NOT like to have her clothes taken off/put on.
8. She LOVES to be held and cuddled.

Ok, that's all I can think of right now. This post has taken forever! But it's totally worth it :)
