When Daddy works late...

Daddy had to work late tonight. He didn't get home until after 8:00. He called a little after 5 to let me know that he had to stay and wouldn't be home for another couple of hours. No big deal. Aliyah had fallen asleep on the couch and I was getting ready to feed Kinsley. I thought, "all right, I can get Kinsley to sleep and then actually get something done." Ha! Yeah right! First, Miss Kinsley thought she needed to nurse for over an hour and she still wasn't satisfied. I was sitting on one couch and Aliyah was sleeping on the other couch. I happened to look over at Aliyah while I was nursing Kinsley and noticed that Aliyah's jean capris had a gigantic wet spot on them. Great. She peed on the couch. When she woke up, I asked her if she peed her pants and she said no. Then all of a sudden, she started crying b/c her pants were wet. I don't think she even realized she had peed. Yuck. So I laid Kinsley down and carried Aliyah to the bathroom to give her a quick bath. She cried the entire time. Kinsley slept a whole 5 minutes, then woke up crying, wanting to eat again. My sister-in-law called to see how Kinsley is doing and Aliyah laid on the floor crying the entire time I was on the phone, which wasn't that long. I was trying to clean the couch while on the phone. I scrubbed it with soap and water and then sprayed it with Febreeze. I thought that would take care of it. Wrong. It still smells. I'm not sure what else to do but I'm going to have to do something. Anyone have any ideas how to get pee out of your couch? I got off the phone, changed Kinsley's poopy diaper for the hundreth time in 1 hour, then sat down on the couch. Aliyah wanted me to hold her so I put Kinsley down and held Aliyah. Kinsley started crying so we held her too. She was still hungry. I asked Aliyah if I should feed her and she said "I should feed her. I never got to feed my baby sister." So I asked her if she wanted to give Kinsley a bottle. She was more than excited to feed her baby sister! Kinsley ate 1 ounce and fell asleep and she has been sleeping since.

Seems when Daddy has to work late, the girls just want to be downright crabby.

I did manage to get a couple snapshots of Aliyah feeding Kinsley.

Ahhh man, pee on the couch stinks! (ok, pun not intended, but I decided not to delete it) LOL

I have no idea how to get it out... :( Bummer. Hopefully tomorrow will be smoother, but hey, You got some stinkin adorable shots of the sibling bonding! I love her dress too btw!

I love that 2nd one with the big blue eyes, but I love how her arms are spread so wide in the first! Just simply Marvelous Jess! :)

Oh goodness gracious! What a day. When it rains in pours, huh? It always seems like when my husband is away the kids are on their WORST behavior and things go wrong all the time. I hope tomorrow is better for you guys.

On a note though...these photos came out so awesome!

Oh no... poor Aliyah! I bet she was so upset that she had an accident! I have this stuff I got at WalMart called Urine Gone (really) and it works GREAT- it gets the smell and the stain out like magic. I still keep a bottle around "just in case" cause it works good on cleaning up mud too, lol! ;)

I hope today is a better one for you!
