Christmas '08 - Part 1

I took these first 2 pictures on Christmas Eve and they were the only pictures I took that day. Up until Christmas Eve, I had not wrapped one single present, which is very unlike me. I just had a million other things going on this year, or it seemed that way anyway. Luckily my sister was able to take Aliyah and go do some fun things with her that day so I could get all her presents wrapped and I didn't have to stay up all night wrapping them. Miss Kinsley was a little less-than-cooperative that day. She didn't want to nap. I think she slept maybe a total of 45 minutes that day, consisting of 2 20-25 minute naps. Somehow I still managed to get all the wrapping done before Aliyah got home. We ended up staying home all day Christmas Eve. Our church wasn't until 8pm and we decided that was too late to take the kids so instead we stayed home and watched the movie Elf, ate popcorn and some goodies, and just snuggled together. Even Kinsley watched the movie with us but she didn't get any popcorn, although she would have loved to have some.

Look closely and you can see drool hanging off her chin =) I didn't even notice it until I opened the picture on my computer.

Aliyah must have been doing something pretty entertaining.

Christmas morning, I woke up at 6:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. I got out of bed at 7 and thought I could get a few things done before anyone else got up. I thought Brandon wouldn't be up for a couple more hours but I was wrong. He got up at 7:30 and we were waiting for Aliyah to get up. Isn't that backwards? Aren't the kids usually waiting for the parents? Anway, Aliyah finally woke up a little after 8. Kinsley was still sleeping so we decided to let her sleep and let Aliyah start opening her presents.

I love the excitement on her face and that you can tell she just woke up. She was so excited about her dollhouse and she has played with it quite a bit.

This was another thing she was really excited about. She's been waiting a couple months for a cupcake maker.

Kinsley finally woke up around 9 and she didn't really know what to think.

She was just worried about eating the paper...heck with the presents.

And the end result =) Daddy could not wait to get the mess cleaned up so he could hook up his Wii and play. I don't have any pictures of him opening the Wii b/c my battery went dead at that exact moment.

We all had stockings but I was helping Kinsley with hers, while Aliyah and Daddy were tearing into theirs and therefore I don't have any pictures of the stockings.
More Christmas pictures to come. Stay tuned ;)
