Kinsley has not been feeling well. Fever, cough, runny nose...all that ickiness. And she won't keep a bandaid on her finger thus it is really, really nasty looking. Reddish, dirty, grungy, just gross. The fingernail has raised up and it looks painful although it doesn't seem to bother her one bit. To make me feel better, I wanted to get it checked out...to be sure it's not infected. I called the dr this morning and got an appt for 11:10. On the way there, it suddenly dawned on me that I haven't felt the baby move since Saturday. I didn't think much of it but thought I would ask the nurse to check the heartbeat at the dr's office while we were there. Of course, I should have realized they would have taken that report way more seriously than I had anticipated. I ended up having a full OB checkup today, in addition to getting sent to the hospital for a non-stress test with a follow up ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow. Thankfully, everything came back fine. The baby went nuts while I was on the monitor. I'm pretty excited about the ultrasound tomorrow. Last time we saw her was at 19 weeks and I'm 35 weeks today! Yay!!
Kinsley's ears and throat look good. She just has a really bad cough. Her finger is not infected but her nail will completely fall off eventually. She was given an antibiotic just to be sure it does not become infected since she will not leave a bandaid on. And the cough will just have to run it's course. Poor girl is just miserable though. =(
