road trip and v-day

We packed up on Friday and headed to Indiana for the night. I had the opportunity to attend a photography workshop on Saturday so we took a little road trip. We stayed in a hotel Friday night and the girls had a blast! The only thing that wasn't so fun was that they were an hour ahead of us, so we lost an hour when we got there and we were messed up time-wise the whole time we were there. It didn't seem to phase the girls any. While we were eating Friday night, Aliyah finally lost her top tooth that has been loose for almost 2 months now! She calls her gap a "tooth hole" LOL. That other tooth right next to it is going to fall out any minute now and then she will be missing her two front teeth =). Thankfully the tooth fairy was able to find her although she was not at home. That tooth fairy is good! ;)

After grabbing a bite to eat, the girls and Daddy suited up and headed down to the pool. I forgot my swimsuit (thought it was in the same bag as the girls' suits, but it wasn't) which is ok, b/c I don' t exactly have the swimsuit body. Not that I ever do, but that's a whole 'nother post!

Kinsley was so funny in the hotel. This was the first hotel we've been to since going to Florida last May and Kinsley wasn't walking yet then. She had a blast exploring the place! It was so cute, every time the elevator doors opened she would say "Oh, thank you!" like someone was opening them for her. Such a polite little thing, she is! And of course, she loved pushing the button to make the elevator doors open.

Patiently waiting for the doors to open...lol.

Both of our girls are not the least bit scared of water. They are daredevils in the water, which makes us nervous. We really have to watch them. Aliyah learned how to swim from one end of the pool to the other. She did a really good job, but it made me nervous every time she got to the deep end.

Love the hair and facial expression! ;)

Poor Daddy needed a few more arms...

The only bad thing about hotels is that we never get enough sleep. Kinsley finally babbled herself to sleep around 11:30 pm, which was really 12:30 our time. I slept with Kinsley in one bed and Aliyah and Brandon slept in the other bed. Brandon said Aliyah kicked him all night and Kinsley was all over the bed as well so we didn't get much sleep. Our kids are bed hogs. I'm glad we don't co-sleep with them!
Happy Valentine's Day, friends! Hope you had a great day of love! We didn't do much besides recooperate from our trip. We were all tired today and both girls have a touch of a cold. We even skipped church this morning (very unusual for us). We did manage to make it to the kids' Valentine's party at church this evening but then it was right back home for us. I think we will be lying low tomorrow as well, since we have quite a bit of snow on the ground already and we're expected to get more. Woohoo!! Maybe I'll get caught up on blogging and proofing pictures...
