our weekend

We spent the weekend at my brother's house.  We've been trying to plan this weekend forever and we finally just wrote it down on the calendar and made it work.  I'm so glad we got to go...the girls had a blast.  But I'm also glad to be back home.  The two little girls did not sleep very well, which was expected since they are never away from home.  What I did not expect was Kinsley to wake up at 4am, YES 4:00 IN THE MORNING!  And she did not go back to sleep.  I'm exhausted and literally falling asleep as I type this so I'm going to make this short and sweet (hopefully).

I was packing the majority of the day on Friday.  I put Kinsley down for her nap and thought "ok, now I can run around like a crazy person and I will have everything cleaned up, packed, and ready to go by the time Brandon gets home from work."  I did succeed in this but not before I had to coax Kinsley back to her bed a bajillion times.  One time I went in there and found her like this.  I took a picture on my cell phone to send to Brandon.

We got to my brother's later than we had planned Friday night.  The kiddos got to bed really late that night.  They watched the movie Nanny McPhee Returns.  Aliyah loved it!  Saturday we got up and Aliyah went to gymnastics with Jadyn and that's when Brandon and I went to the cemetery.  After everyone got back, we went out to lunch at a really yummy burger joint called Cheeburger, Cheeburger.  After lunch we took the kids swimming.  I forgot to grab my camera on the way out the door so excuse the poor quality of the cell phone pics.

 This was the children's area.  Although the little kids section had a water slide, Kinsley was so determined to go down the big slide but of course, she was way too small.  Have you ever tried to explain to a 2-year-old that they are not big enough to do something?  Yeah, soooo not fun!!

 Sisters!  Can you tell Kinsley was not in the mood for hugs? :-)
