When I went in Kinsley's room today to get her up from her nap, I opened her door to find her standing behind her door....NOT standing IN her crib. She climbed out and I didn't even hear a THUD! I asked her "did you climb out of your crib?!" and she said "yeah" so matter-of-fact, like it was no big deal! I am SOOOO not ready for her to be done with the crib. She's such a daredevil, that I'm afraid to give her free reign of her room when she's supposed to be sleeping. I immediately called my sister-in-law to see if they still had their crib tent. No luck there. I got online and called both Babies-R-Us' that are close to us and neither of them have crib tents...not even online. I looked and searched and could only find them on ebay, which means I would have to wait several days for it to arrive and I needed it 2 hours ago! When I put Kinsley to bed tonight, she stood up in her crib so I waited for her to lay back down before I closed the door. Only she didn't lay back down, she flipped herself right over the side of her crib in about 2 seconds. She didn't even lift a leg, just pushed herself up with her arms and flipped right over. We thought we would try the pack-n-play but that didn't work either. She flipped right out of it as well. With no other options, we ended up taking the crib mattress out of the crib and putting it on the floor. I tried to stay in her room to get her to sleep but after 30 minutes of her not going to sleep with me in there, I decided to leave her in there and see what happened. She got off her mattress and cried for about 30 seconds and she's been quiet ever since. Hopefully she is sleeping. It should be an interesting night....
Guess we'll be putting up the toddler bed tomorrow. *big sigh* This momma's not ready for this transition...
I decided to check on her just to make sure she was sleeping and this is what I found...
